TGSFX / TRADING SIMULATOR

Trading Simulator for Measurable Practice

A trading simulator gives you a place to rehearse decisions with simulated capital. TGSFX connects the practice workflow with trading analytics and review.

What to practise in a trading simulator

Choose a defined task before a session: recognising one setup, following an exit rule or recording every decision. A simulated profit on its own does not explain whether you followed the plan. Separate execution quality from the market outcome so that a losing trade can still be a correctly executed exercise.

Record the instrument, session, entry, initial stop, intended exit and actual result. Keep the same definition of initial risk throughout a sample. The trading journal workflow turns those observations into a record you can review rather than a collection of disconnected charts.

A repeatable practice session

  1. Write one setup and its invalidation before starting.
  2. Define the simulated risk and session stopping rule.
  3. Record each decision before revealing later price action.
  4. Review rule adherence alongside expectancy and drawdown.

Use market replay to revisit a historical sequence, or backtesting to evaluate a written set of rules across a larger sample. These activities answer different questions; use them together without treating a familiar replay as a fresh test.

How to evaluate the session

Compare the number of valid opportunities with the number of trades taken. Check missed setups, late entries and rule changes. Then review results in performance analytics. The dashboard examples on this website are illustrative, not records of customer performance. Product access and the current feature set are available in the application.

Questions about this topic

Is a trading simulator the same as a live account?

No. It uses a simulated environment. Live fills, liquidity, spreads and the pressure of risking money can differ.
